Added "hidden" security graphics to annual up-fronts (new television shows being promoted by the broadcaster) and authored DVDs for NBC sales teams distribution and promotion. Fun Fact: The best part of this job was finding a creative way of incorporating two letters on screen somewhere withing the first 30 seconds of the show, like initials on a toy duck or part of a logo in an advertisement on a train.
Audience Reaction Shoots
Columbia Pictures, Paramount Pictures, New Line Cinema (2008 to 2012)
Recorded audience reactions of pre-release films utilizing night-vision camera and infrared lighting, so as not to be distracting. Also recorded focus groups held after the film screening. Supplied footage to the production company on DVD upon completion of the film. Volunteer Highlights
Media Ministry
First Presbyterian Church of Sparta (2008 to 2018)
Ran multicamera switcher for live webcast of Sunday services, mixed audio for choir and musicians, authored CDs and DVDs of services for shut-ins, implemented white-label streaming service rather than using a free, ad-based service. Fun Fact: The church, built in 1786, utilized modern tech to live stream Sunday services using PTZ cameras, wireless mics, and a projection video system that was mixed and encoded to a Windows PC for the world to see. The irony of the two was not lost on me.
Volunteer
Nazareth Farms (June 1993)
Drove with friends from New Jersey to a community called Nazareth Farms in West Virginia. Over the week, we were sent out to different areas to help repair and build housing for people who didn't have the means to do so themselves. Fun Fact: I had just purchased my new-to-me car, but had no problem allowing my friend to use it for the week as he shuttled volunteers to and from job sites. At that point, I had owned the car for less than a month.
Orlando: Ready to Roll!
Florida Motion Picture and Television Association (1997)
Walked around with the MC of the all-day event, set up to promote the film and television industry in central Florida. Fun Fact: This was the first opportunity working with a real television star. James Best, who played Rosco P. Coltrane on The Dukes of Hazard was part of an impromptu interview. I still have the footage.
Occasional Tech Guy
All over the place! (Always)
Over the years, I've met lots of people, old and young, who need help with their technology, but aren't in a position to pay someone. Whether it's a failed hard drive, corrupt operating system, or photos for a job interview, I'm happy to offer my skills to help someone get a leg up in life. Fun Fact: When you hand a working computer back to someone who thought they'd lost everything, their gratitude towards you is overwhelming.

Produced by Andrew Lilley, the great nephew of Johnny Sylvester, the film tells the true story behind Babe Ruth's promise to a sick boy, Johnny, during the 1926 world series.
